Valcobaby Insights: Stroller Information, Stroller Tips & More
The New Valco Baby Slim Twin S2 Stroller: A Real Mom’s Review
When it comes to strollers, I’ve always been pretty picky. Let’s face it, they’re not cheap, so I have very high expectations. Over the years, after four kids and counting, I’ve tried a bunch of different brands, and the one that has always checked all the boxes is Valco Baby. You just can’t beat the quality and thoughtfulness that goes into their strollers. So when I heard Valco Baby recently updated its Slim Twin stroller, I knew I had to get my hands on it. Because my kiddos are fairly spread out in age, it can be a challenge finding a stroller that fits our needs. After using the new Slim Twin S2, I’m ready to give my full, honest review, and, spoiler alert, I absolutely love it! If you’re looking for a full-sized double stroller that’s compact enough to fit where you want but roomy enough to bring everything you need, the Slim Twin S2 is the one for you! Adjustability When it comes to meeting our family’s needs, one of the most important features for any stroller is adjustability. It needs to work with where we’re at now but also offer room to grow. The Slim Twin S2 doesn’t disappoint! To start, I love the optional bassinet (coming soon) for evening strolls or when I want my littlest one to stretch out. It’s a super nice and ultra luxe addition! You can also individually recline each seat so one kiddo can nap peacefully while the other stays engaged with the world around them. And it’s not a partial recline; you can put those babies down to near flat so they stay comfy and cozy. The footrests also move up and down with a cocoon-style support that keeps younger babies secure. Of course, sun protection is a non-negotiable, since young skin is super delicate and sensitive. The Slim Twin S2 features two extendable canopies with UPF 50+ and convenient peekaboo windows, so you can keep an eye on what your kiddos are doing at all times. There’s also a ventilated seat back on each seat, which is such a relief on hot days. It’s true customization for kids from newborn to around 45lbs, so you know this stroller will last! Safety This point should have probably been the first on the list, but I was just so excited about all of the adjustable features I wanted to tell you about those first. But safety is every parent’s main concern. I want to know that when I put my kids in their stroller, they’re safe and secure. The Slim Twin S2 goes above and beyond to put my mind at ease. Instead of a simple lap or shoulder belt, both seats have an upgraded 5-point harness with padded shoulder straps that are easy to adjust, keeping little ones in place and comfortable. It also includes two removable belly bars (which is a huge bonus I haven’t seen on other compact strollers). Another of the Slim Twin S2’s new upgrades is the locking mechanism, which is easier to use with one-foot step engagement. Once locked, you can trust your stroller will stay where you put it, which was a huge requirement for me. Compact and Lightweight Did I tell you that I’ve gone through A LOT of strollers over the years, because I have! After my second daughter was born, I knew I had to upgrade to a double stroller. Let me tell you, it was a nightmare. First, the one I chose was so wide it couldn’t fit anywhere. I hated going shopping because I would knock down every piece of clothing in the aisle. So I tried an inline version. It seemed like the perfect answer, right? Wrong! The dang thing was huge, took up all my trunk space, and took forever to take apart. What I love about the Slim Twin S2 is that, even though it’s a full-sized double stroller, it’s super compact. Since it’s only 26” wide, it fits through standard doors, aisles, and busy streets easily. It’s also perfect for travel since you don’t have to fight with extra bulk. And at just 27 lbs, I don’t feel like I’m lifting a boulder every time I pick it up. Plus, you can fold it with just one hand, and there’s a carry strap included. Not only did the Slim Twin S2 make shopping with multiple kids enjoyable again (who knew that was even possible!), but it saved my poor back in the process! Compatibility As a mom, I’ve learned a lot over the years when it comes to my kids’ gear, and one thing my stroller must be is compatible. Compatible with what, you may ask. The car seat, of course! Look, I’m a woman who loves options; some days I want to take my baby out of his car seat and let him ride in the stroller, but when he’s sleeping, no force could make me interrupt his nap to unbuckle him, lift him up, and rebuckle him into a different seat. Of course, Valco Baby thought of that when designing the Slim Twin S2. By simply snapping in the car seat adapter, your double stroller becomes car seat compatible. That’s right, you have the option to snap your baby’s infant car seat right onto the Slim Twin S2 for unmatched flexibility! I guess this feature could have also gone under adaptability since it lets you customize your stroller for infants and older kids, but it’s such a good one I thought it deserved its own section. Smooth Ride One thing I’ve noticed about Valco Baby is they don’t cut corners. Parents are going to be interested in features that make their strollers adaptable, safe, and convenient, but what about the components that slip under the radar? I’m referring, of course, to wheels. You may have never even thought about the type of wheels your stroller has, but just like your car’s tires, they make all the difference in the smoothness of the ride. Where others may just slap on a pair that rolls, the Slim Twin S2 boasts top-quality Infinity wheels, now with built-in suspension for good measure. And when I say we will never go back to anything else, I mean it. Even my husband, who’s an avid car guy, made a comment about how nicely the stroller moves. It seems to glide over pretty much any surface so my kids aren’t bouncing around. It’s a lifesaver when they fall asleep and makes this stroller feel so luxurious. Even the little touches, like the vegan leather handlebar, make it feel like a stroller that costs twice as much. Storage Do your kids come with a lot of stuff? Because mine sure do. Another top concern when choosing a stroller was having enough storage. Not only do I need to fit a diaper bag and snacks, but I want there to be enough room for shopping bags, my older kids’ backpacks, or anything else I may need. The Slim Twin S2 has a huge storage basket with plenty of room for everything we bring along. It came in very handy on our last flight since it freed up our hands and arms by holding more than one carry-on. If you need to bring it, the Slim Twin S2 can hold it with room to spare! Slim Twin S2 Specifications • Overall Width - 26 inches • Stroller Weight - 27 lbs • Weight Capacity - ~45 lbs per seat • Stroller Open - W - 26 in x H - 42 in x L - 30 in • Stroller Folded (with wheels) - W - 26 in x H - 16 in x L - 30 in • Seat - W - 11 in x H - 18 in x D - 10 in • Footrest Length - 9 inches • Handle Height - 42 inches • Seat to Canopy - 22 inches • Basket - W - 24 in x H - 9 in x L - 23 in • Wheels - Infinity wheels + suspension • Colors - Black, Rachel When it comes to choosing a stroller, I know how overwhelming it can be. You want to make the right choice for your family, but if you’re like me, with so many options, you may not know where to start. Take it from someone who’s been around the block a few times with different strollers: you just can’t beat anything from Valco Baby. When it comes to double strollers specifically, the Slim Twin S2 really is the best. Nothing is left to chance; every feature is designed thoughtfully to work for both parents and kids. After using it for a while, I can say with confidence it’s the ultimate stroller for growing families who need full-size comfort without the full-size footprint. If you’re looking for a stroller that lasts, is fun to use, and has everything you need to make your outings unforgettable, you need the Valco Baby SlimvTwin S2!

When it comes to strollers, I feel like I’ve tried them all. With two kids and tons of gear, I know what I want and need and won’t settle for less. I’m through with big, bulky models that feel like a semi to maneuver. And my back won’t allow me to lift anything that a bodybuilder would be proud to show off. When I heard that Valco Baby released a new stroller, I had to admit I got excited. I absolutely love my Slim Twin and use it everywhere. So when I saw the announcement about the new Ultra Duo S2, I knew it was right up my alley. After using it for a while, I feel qualified to write a pretty comprehensive review and guide, outlining all the best features. If you’re a parent on the go, I can confidently say you’re gonna love the Valco Baby Ultra Duo S2 stroller. Still don’t believe me? See for yourself why it’s a must-have for anyone looking for a lightweight and versatile stroller that checks all the boxes. Easy Folding The Ultra Duo S2 is based on the design of Valco Baby’s super popular Trend Duo stroller, but with one new (and very exciting) updated feature. It boasts two independent reversible seats that stay on while the stroller is folded. That means you don’t have to waste time taking your stroller apart when you have a crying baby and toddler screaming that they’ve dropped their chicken nugget (if you know, you know). One of the main reasons I was skeptical about getting a double stroller was because I hated how long it took my friends to load it in their cars. They had to take each of the seats off one at a time and when they finally got everything loaded, the trunk was full. The Ultra Duo S2 is truly revolutionary. You don’t have to mess around with facing both seats forward or trying to figure out how to break it down. Simply use the one-hand folding feature to quickly fold the stroller no matter which direction the seats are facing, and you’re good to go! Flexibilty What I love is that you can choose to make the seats either forward-facing, which is great for older kids who love to see the world, or parent-facing, perfect for keeping an eye on newborns and babies. Or if your kids are a little more spaced out in age, face one forward and one backward. You can also choose from numerous add-on options like a bassinet, car seat adapters, and more. There’s endless customization possibilities, making the Ultra Duo S2 a flexible option for all stages! Car Seat Compatible Speaking of customization, the Ultra Duo S2 lets you attach one or two infant car seats in seconds with the optional car seat adapter—handy whether you’ve just got one baby along for the ride or two little ones traveling together. It’s great for when your little one is sleeping and you don’t want to disturb them and for families with infants and toddlers. Of course, if you don’t want to use the car seat adapter for your newborn, Valco Baby gave you that option, too. An optional bassinet enclosure (coming soon) will let them stretch out during walks for deep, uninterrupted sleep. Multiple Color Options I love when a stroller brand offers different color options. The Ultra Duo S2 comes in black for a sleek, timeless look or Rachel (coming soon) for a more modern alternative. I genuinely don’t know which color I like more, they’re both eye-catching, sleek, and ultra luxe. Of course, the fabric is easy to clean and made to resist the normal wear and tear that is inevitable with kids. You don’t have to hold your breath when the summer heat melts an ice cream cone or a spring outing gets a little muddy. The fabric wipes clean in seconds and resists stains, keeping it looking beautiful for the long haul. Compact Design As I said earlier, there’s nothing that bugs me more than a stroller that doesn’t fit through doors and aisles. What’s the point in putting your kids in a stroller if you can’t take it anywhere? That’s where the Ultra Duo S2 shines. It has all the space you need for your kids to sit comfortably and to store all your gear without the bulk or weight. It comes in at a narrow 28 inches wide so it easily fits through a standard doorway and tight spaces. When folded, the Ultra Duo S2 only measures 27.5 in x 13 in x 31 in so it fits into most standard vehicles without any problem. And since it’s lightweight at just 30 lbs, you don’t have to break your back during loading! Adjustability Another exciting feature on the Ultra Duo S2 is its adjustability. Practically everything can be adjusted to fit your family perfectly. For the littlest members, adjustable footrests with a built-in cocoon ensure even newborns have somewhere comfortable and secure to rest. The 3 - stage extended canopy, complete with a magnetic peek-a-boo window, protects sensitive skin from harsh UV rays and keeps everyone cool while letting you check in on your kids without lifting the fabric. When it comes to your stroller, you know there’s no such thing as a one-size-fits-all. With the Ultra Duo S2, kids can enjoy a comfortable ride designed just for them, with room to grow up to 45 lbs per seat. Compact Fold There’s few things as annoying after a long day than fighting to fold your stroller. I love that the Ultra Duo S2 has a compact clean-fold system that makes breaking it down a breeze. The compact design folds with the fabric on the inside and stands upright, protecting the seats from germs and dirt. Say goodbye to folding struggles, now you can load and unload with ease! Durability Of course, when it comes to choosing the right stroller, you want something that’s durable enough to last for years. The Ultra Duo S2 may be small but it’s definitely mighty—Valco Baby doesn’t mess around when it comes to quality. Of all the strollers I’ve tried, nothing else comes close. To ensure a smooth ride, the Ultra Duo S2 now features Infinity wheels with built-in suspension that absorb shock and glide across almost any surface—an upgrade that makes an already smooth ride even smoother. Thought and care was put into every aspect of the stroller, from the high-quality, easy-to-clean fabric that offers UPF 50+ protection to the padded, vegan leather handlebars—you can truly see and feel the attention to detail that gives you the confidence to know the Ultra Duo S2 is built to last. Comfort Your kids deserve to ride in comfort, even with a compact stroller. A taller seat design ensures your little ones will fit comfortably for longer. The multi-position, one-hand, near-flat recline lets you adjust their sitting position quickly and easily. There’s ample padding and support to protect growing bodies and make this stroller something your kids will look forward to riding in. Plus, the ventilated seat back keeps them cool and comfortable, even on hot summer days. In fact, I’ve said more than once after a long outing that I wish I could switch places with my kiddos and enjoy the cozy seats. I don’t think that’s too much to ask for! Safety For Valco Baby, your children’s safety is the top concern. A stroller is only as good as its safety features, which is why they made sure the Ultra Duo S2 was safe and secure. Each seat boasts an upgraded 5-point harness with shoulder straps that are easy to adjust, keeping little ones comfortably in place. Plus, two removable belly bars—one for each seat—give extra peace of mind. One of my favorite safety features is the foot brake lever, which makes it easy to keep the wheels from moving even on uneven surfaces. You can trust your little ones will be secure in this impressive stroller. Storage As a mom, you know storage is a premium feature that all too many strollers overlook. Kids come with a lot of stuff, so you need a place to put everything where it won’t fall out. The Ultra Duo S2 has you covered with an extra large easy access basket, with plenty of room for a diaper bag, toys, and whatever else you could need. I was really surprised at how much could fit in this basket, it really seemed like I could put in everything I needed and then some. If you’re sick of having to carry your bags when you go shopping, or losing items because your current storage basket isn’t deep enough, you’ll fall in love with the storage on the Ultra Duo S2. Ultra Duo S2 Specifications • Overall Width - 28 inches • Stroller Weight - 30 lbs • Weight Capacity - ~45 lbs per seat • Stroller Open - W - 27.5 x H - 42 x L - 32.5 • Stroller Folded (with wheels) - W - 27.5 x H - 13 x L - 31 • Seat - W - 9 x H - 17 x D - 9 • Footrest Length - 8 inches • Handle Height - 42 inches • Seat to Canopy - 22 inches • Basket - W - 25 x H - 9 x L - 24 • Wheels - Infinity wheels + suspension • Colors - Black, Rachel If you’re looking for a double stroller that lets your newborn face you and your toddler face the world—all while staying compact, durable, and super lightweight—you’ll definitely want to check out the Ultra Duo S2. It has everything you need for your busy lifestyle, whether you’re traveling, shopping, going to the park, or enjoying an evening stroll. Like all Valco Baby products, the safety and quality are second to none so you can have confidence in every outing. I’ve put this stroller to the test and it’s passed with flying colors again and again. If it can withstand my active little ones, I know it can handle whatever you throw at it. If you’re searching for a full-sized single stroller that’s lightweight and stylish, look no further than the Ultra S2 Rachel SE by Valco Baby. This eye-catching stroller has it all: flexibility, durability, and beauty. When I first had my son, I wasn’t sure what I wanted in a stroller. There’s so many different options, it felt overwhelming. One day, I was talking to my friend, and she recommended Valco Baby. She’d used them with her first little one and was planning to upgrade to the new Ultra Duo S2 once her second child was born. I trust her opinion, so I took the chance, and let me tell you, I’m glad I did. I’m absolutely in love with the Ultra S2 Rachel; it has everything I want in a stroller and more. I decided to use my experience to write a review that will hopefully help other moms find the perfect stroller without wasting their time on ones that simply don’t stack up to what the Ultra S2 Rachel has to offer. If you value quality and aren’t willing to compromise, this is the stroller for you! Lightweight Design Whether you live in the city or suburbia, no one wants a stroller that requires a gym membership to lift. The Ultra S2 Rachel is surprisingly lightweight for a full-sized stroller, coming in at only 17 lbs and holding up to 45 lbs, so it grows with your child from newborn all the way to toddler. I don’t know how Valco Baby managed to create such a durable frame without the added bulk, but they did. I have no problem lifting it into my trunk by myself, and I can even carry it upstairs without pulling out my back. The lightweight design makes it perfect for pushing up hills with my chunky little guy and maneuvering along busy sidewalks. After my C-section, I wasn’t allowed to lift heavy objects, and even after I was cleared by my doctor, I was honestly scared to pick anything up. The Ultra S2 Rachel was a lifesaver, allowing me to maintain my independence and bring my baby with me without worrying about lifting a heavy stroller. Adjustability I love that the Ultra S2 Rachel has a reversible seat so I can place my son forward or rear facing. When he was first born, I kept him facing me so I could keep an eye on him and have more peace of mind. As he got older, he loved looking around, so I simply turned the seat forward, and he could watch the world around him. The seat is so lightweight, changing position is a breeze. When he’s tired or cranky, I’ll still turn him toward me, and I notice he calms down much faster. Just a little pro-tip to keep in mind! Along with the seat’s position, you can also adjust the shoulder straps so they fit securely, and the multi-position, near-flat reclining feature is great for naptime. It isn’t just the seat’s positioning that’s adjustable on the Ultra S2 Rachel. The footrest also moves to grow with your baby, with a built-in cocoon that keeps newborns snug and supported, and the triple-stage canopy extension, complete with a magnetic peek-a-boo window, provides superior sun protection from every angle while letting you check on your little one without lifting the fabric. Compact and Foldable While I wasn’t sure about everything I wanted in a stroller, I knew it had to be compact enough to fit in my trunk. The Ultra S2 Rachel didn’t disappoint. The one-hand folding feature makes it easy to break down the stroller quickly, no matter which direction the seat is facing. You’ll never have to fight with it to fold or unfold; it maneuvers smoothly every time. It’s ultra-compact, so I can still fit groceries, shopping bags, and more. The compact size is also great for apartments, hotel rooms, and traveling, so you can have the comfort of bringing your own stroller with you wherever you go. And at just 21.5 inches wide, it slides through standard doorways and narrow store aisles without a fight. Versatility The Ultra S2 Rachel is a highly versatile stroller, made to move easily whether you’re shopping or exploring the neighborhood. The front swivel wheels make maneuvering in tight spaces easy, which is a relief when you’re trying to fit through small aisles or crowded sidewalks. And it’s not just easy to steer—the Ultra S2 Rachel is one of the most versatile strollers on the market thanks to its numerous optional add-ons like a bassinet, car seat adapters, and much more. I loved the bassinet during the newborn stage, since we liked to go on walks during naptime. The car seat adapter will make your life so much easier, since it lets you quickly attach your baby’s car seat without disturbing them during the transfer. The Ultra S2 Rachel is the ultimate dual-duty stroller that will fit all of your needs. Storage Did you know that kids come with a ton of stuff? Okay, of course you did, but what you may not have known is that you can have a stroller with enough room to fit all of it. The Ultra S2 Rachel has ample storage thanks to an oversized, easy-access basket that lets you fit everything you need and then some. I have no trouble fitting my diaper bag, toys, water bottle, and shopping bags. Plus, the deep walls keep everything securely in place, so you don’t accidentally lose something important like a favorite stuffed animal or blanket. Safety There’s nothing more important than your child’s safety, and safety is exactly what Valco Baby is known for. The Ultra S2 Rachel boasts a secure, upgraded 5-point harness with shoulder straps that are easy to adjust, keeping your little one safely and comfortably in place. There’s also a removable belly bar for added protection, plus a ventilated seat back that keeps them cool and comfortable on warm days. The canopy has built-in UPF 50+ that protects your baby’s sensitive skin. One of the best features is the quick foot brake lever that lets you lock your stroller in place even when your hands are full. I don’t have to worry about my stroller rolling away; I simply step down on the brake and know it isn’t going anywhere. Beautiful Design The Ultra S2 Rachel proves that functionality can be beautiful. The scalloped edge on the canopy is one of the first things that caught my eye. It adds the perfect amount of whimsy and really makes the stroller stand out from the rest. I love the cream color and the fact that the fabric is super easy to clean. Even small details, like the vegan leather handlebar, feel premium in your hands. Everything about the Ultra S2 Rachel screams luxury, from the finishes to the design and materials. It’s simplistic, yet stunning—what else could you want in a stroller you use every day! The Ark boasts an innovative design, transforming from a single to a double stroller for unmatched flexibility. As the first in an exciting line of single to double strollers, the Ark holds numerous features that make it a standout in its class. To start, and arguably most impressive, is its ability to fold with both seats attached, making it one of the only strollers of its kind on the market to do so. Parents no longer have to struggle with frustrating breakdowns; the Ark's one-hand fold feature takes just seconds and allows for truly compact storage that's perfect for cars and travel. There are endless seating configuration options, since the Ark expands from a single to a double stroller with ease. It can fit two car seats or two bassinets simultaneously, making it ideal for twins and multiple children of different ages. But Valco Baby didn't stop there. When met with the challenge to create an inclusive stroller that doesn't sacrifice comfort or durability, the company more than delivered. It's the seemingly small features that make the Ark truly luxurious. The telescopic handle adjusts to fit tall and short parents so it’s comfortable for users of all heights. It also comes with Valco Baby's premium Infinity Wheels, which measure 30 cm in the rear and 20.5 cm in the front, making them ideal for numerous terrains. They're also puncture-proof, for added peace of mind. The Ark also includes built-in suspension, which, when combined with the Infinity Wheels, creates an exceptionally smooth ride. Parents can choose from different seat height settings and select a forward or backward-facing position. The Ark also includes Valco Baby's famous 4-stage canopy extension feature, with UPF 50+ for unmatched sun protection. There's also a large and sturdy storage basket providing ample space for holding gear. Currently, the Ark comes in two stunning colorways: Ash and Cloud, but a third, Basil, is set for release. The Ark Stroller is the newest addition to the impressive Valco Baby lineup, offering unmatched versatility for growing families. I was excited to hear that Valco Baby was expanding its product offerings, since everyone knows how much I adore my Trend Duo. When I first saw the Ark, I knew the company hit this one out of the park. The ultra-durable stroller effortlessly transforms from single to double seating, using the Joey seat attachment. Its compact design maneuvers seamlessly through city streets or on any outdoor adventure, thanks to premium features like suspension and Infinity Wheels. But what really sold the Ark to me was its one-handed fold feature that doesn't require you to remove the seats. That's right, every parent who's struggled in a store parking lot trying to break down their stroller, disconnect the seats, squeeze it shut, and fit it in the trunk should rejoice. It takes only seconds, and the Ark is folded and ready to go! As you know by now, I take my reviews seriously and make sure I examine every part of the products I write about. You don't have to take my word on how good the Ark is; I've made this complete guide detailing all the exciting features that come with this impressive stroller. Versatile Design As a mom of multiple kids, I've learned that if a product doesn't fit our lifestyle, I don't want it. Strollers need to grow with the user, ensuring they get the most wear out of them as they can. The Ark is a standout because it transforms from a single stroller to a double, making it perfect for families of twins or children of different ages. Although it's compact, it can still fit two car seats or bassinets simultaneously, without your kids feeling crowded. This flexibility makes it ideal for growing families. I told you Valco Baby knew what it was doing! Easy Fold Collapsability As I mentioned above, one of the worst parts about double strollers is how hard they are to fold. Either there's too many parts to remove or they're super heavy and bulky, which is why most designs simply don't work. The Ark changes the game. It has an effortless one-hand folding feature that makes collapsing your stroller a breeze. The design allows you to keep the seats attached, and they fold flat into the stroller, protecting them from dirt and germs. It's one of the only strollers on the market with this exclusive folding capability, which is why the Ark is so unique. Comfort and Seating Speaking of seating, the Ark ensures your little ones are safe and comfortable. To start, the seat lies completely flat with a one-hand recline, making it suitable for newborns up to kids 48 lbs. There's a 5-point harness for added protection, and an adjustable footrest that folds up to keep newborns secure. The Ark also comes with a bootinet that creates a bassinet-type feel, without having to use an actual bassinet. One unique feature that I find so amazing is the built-in mosquito netting that keeps flies and bugs away from your kids. I told you, Valco Baby thought of everything. Safety When it comes to your children, safety is your top concern, and Valco Baby takes that very seriously. Along with the 5-point harness with padded shoulder straps, the Ark also features a padded napper bar for added security. Valco Baby also redesigned their brake system, with one-step technology that's fast and easy to use. 4-Stage Canopy Protecting delicate skin from the sun is a big priority for parents, which is why I truly appreciate the Ark's 4-stage canopy extension. This sturdy shade boasts UPF 50+ protection and allows you to adjust it to multiple positions, including fully forward for unmatched privacy. There are vents along the side for exceptional airflow, a peekaboo window in the back, and a full, roll-up ventilation flap. Smooth Ride Another area where the Ark Stroller really shines is in the smoothness of its ride. It features Valco Baby's premium suspension, allowing for exceptional shock absorption. It also comes with their premium Infinity Wheels, which measure 20.5 cm in the front and 30 cm in the rear. The larger wheel size makes maneuvering over uneven and bumpy terrain easier, so you can take your Ark stroller with you wherever you go. I also love that the Infinity Wheels are puncture-proof, so I don't have to worry about a rock or piece of glass ruining my whole day. Storage As a parent, you know there's few things quite as annoying as not having enough storage in your stroller. Having to carry your bags and push your baby at the same time because a company didn't keep your needs in mind can be infuriating. Fortunately, Valco Baby cared enough to keep that in mind. The Ark has a mind-blowing 28 lb capacity storage basket that stretches the full length of the stroller. It offers more than enough room for my diaper bag, toys, shopping bags, and anything else my toddler may want to bring along that day. I can shop with confidence knowing I'll have plenty of room for storage, which is a thoughtful feature I really appreciate. Beautiful Colorways Ok, I know I keep saying each feature is my favorite, but the Ark's sleek colorways definitely top my list. I love a stroller that looks lux, with bold yet understated colors. Currently, the Ark has two color options to choose from: Cloud and Ash, and if I'm honest, I don't know which one's my favorite. They're both elegant and modern, enhancing the beauty of this one-of-a-kind stroller. I also heard that Valco Baby plans to release a third colorway called Basil, which I'm very excited to see. No matter which color you choose, you can't go wrong; they're all absolutely beautiful. Customizability As a mom who's partner is almost a foot taller than I am, I'm always happy to see when a stroller offers user customization options. The Ark has a 4-way telescopic handle that adjusts up and down to fit both tall and short people. All it takes is the push of a button, and you can move it to fit your height. That means both my husband and I can push our babies comfortably—talk about a win-win! The handle isn't the only area that you can adjust; you can also lower and raise the seat. I love this feature because it means you can keep a newborn closer to you, while a toddler can sit nearer the ground for easier loading and unloading. Along with raising and lowering the seat, you can also face it forward or backward, which is excellent for younger kids and for keeping an eye on them at all times. There's endless seating configuration options, making the Ark Stroller one of the most customizable models on the market. Ark Stroller Specifications Weight - 30.4 lbs without wheels Dimensions - 41"H x 30"L x 26"W Folded Dimensions - 15"H x 35"L x 26"W Each stroller package includes: 1 x Ark Stroller 1 x Front Napper Bar 1 x Bootinet The new Valco Baby Ark Stroller is by far my most favorite stroller of all time. It has everything I need to make every outing easy and enjoyable, and my kids absolutely love it. If you're looking for a stroller that will grow with your family, offers tons of exciting features for you and your little ones, and is ultra-durable and beautiful, the Ark is the one for you. Learn moreStroller Care: 8 Tips To Keep Your Stroller In The Best Shape
If you’re anything like me, your stroller is basically your third arm. It goes everywhere with you, because let’s face it, your toddler refuses to walk that day. And if you’ve invested in a quality, stylish model (hello, luxury wheels!), stroller care is definitely a priority. Think about it. You wouldn’t drop a small fortune on a designer handbag and toss it in the mud, right? The same rules apply to your stroller. A well-kept stroller lasts longer, looks better, and holds its resale value (yes, you can resell high-end strollers when you’re done with them). So, let’s talk stroller care. Here are my best tips to keep your stroller in the best shape. Give It a Monthly Wipe-Down (Yes, Monthly!) Let’s start with the obvious – how to clean a stroller. Your stroller needs to be cleaned regularly. And no, I’m not talking about hosing it down in your backyard like it’s your husband’s muddy hiking boots. Once a month, take 15 minutes to: Remove all the snack wrappers and mystery crumbs from the seat. Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap. Spot-clean the fabric with a non-toxic cleaner (I love using baby-safe all-purpose sprays). Don’t forget the handlebar and cup holder - they get gross. Doing this regularly keeps dirt and grime from building up and makes deep cleans way easier later. Treat the Fabric Like You Would Your Couch If you bought a stroller with luxurious fabric, treat it like a piece of furniture. Most stroller seats are not machine-washable (yeah, I know), but many of them do allow you to unzip or remove parts to hand wash. Vacuum the seat and canopy now and then. Seriously, grab the handheld vacuum and go for it. Especially if your little one snacks on the go (which, who are we kidding, they always do). If your stroller does have removable fabric covers, check the tag and follow the care instructions. Never toss it in the dryer unless it specifically says you can. Heat breaks down the fibers and can shrink or warp the material. Mind the Wheels (They’re Not Invincible) The wheels are like the shoes of your stroller. They are fashionable, functional, and often overlooked in stroller maintenance. But dirty, wobbly, or squeaky wheels can make even the nicest stroller feel cheap and clunky. Here’s what I do every few weeks: Brush off dirt, grass, and pebbles from the wheels and wheel wells. Check for wear and tear - bald spots on rubber, wobbly axles, weird noises. Pro Tip - Use a silicone-based lubricant (a oil based will damage the axle if dirt enters ) on the moving parts to keep the ride smooth. And if you’re often on rough terrain (gravel trails, cobblestones, city sidewalks), check your wheels more often. They take a beating. Always Fold With Care It’s tempting to fold the stroller with one hand while juggling a baby, diaper bag, and latte, but listen, this is a great way to accidentally snap something. Take a beat. Put the baby somewhere safe, free one hand, and follow the proper folding steps. It only takes an extra 10 seconds, and it saves you from breaking a latch or scratching the frame. Also, never force a fold. If it’s not budging, something’s probably out of alignment. Forcing it is a one-way ticket to a repair you don’t want to pay for. Pro Tip - find a stroller that has a clean fold with the fabric folding inwards to protect it while folded. Store It Like It’s Part of Your Interior Design Okay, maybe you don’t have stroller parking in your foyer, but hear me out - where you store your stroller matters. Avoid leaving it in your car trunk for days on end. The heat, especially in summer, can warp plastic, fade fabric, and melt adhesives. If you have a garage or mudroom, that would be great. Bonus stroller care points if you cover it with a clean blanket or stroller bag. It keeps dust off and makes it feel new every time you roll it out. Do a Seasonal Deep Clean Spring and fall are perfect times for a deep stroller cleaning. Take everything apart (within reason - don’t dismantle the frame unless you really know what you’re doing), and give each section some love. Think of it like your stroller’s spa day. Put on a podcast, pour some iced coffee, and get into it. You’ll be shocked how much better it looks and feels afterward. Get to Know Your Warranty Register your stroller right after purchase (I know, nobody ever wants to do this part, but trust me), and keep the manual somewhere handy. If something stops working or feels off, check in with customer service before you try to DIY it. You might save yourself time, frustration, and money. Don’t Overload It (Even When You’re Tempted) I know those stroller hooks are a game-changer when it comes to carrying all the stuff. But hanging heavy bags off the handlebars can actually damage the frame or cause tipping. Stick to the manufacturer’s weight limits, and use the storage basket for the bulk of your items. I’m all for a stylish diaper bag and shopping tote, but balance is everything. Plus, overloaded strollers are way harder to steer, and let’s be honest, nobody wants to wrestle with a stroller while wrangling a toddler. Your stroller isn’t just baby gear. It’s part of your daily routine, your travel companion, and honestly, a bit of a fashion statement. If you’ve spent the money on something sleek, practical, and beautifully made, stroller care makes so much sense. A well-loved, well-maintained stroller not only looks amazing, but it makes your life so much easier. And who doesn’t want smoother strolls, fewer breakdowns, and compliments from other stylish moms at the park? So here’s to treating your stroller with the same love you give your favorite handbag - after all, it carries your most precious cargo. You got this!
Learn moreWhich Valco Baby Stroller Is Best for You: Slim Twin or Trend Duo?
When it comes to your baby's stroller, you expect the perfect combination of comfort, safety, and portability. That's where Valco Baby comes in. Valco Baby strollers are designed to fit your lifestyle, with features and accessories designed for versatility at every stage. But how do you know which model is right for you and your family? Fortunately, we've made this guide showing a side-by-side comparison of Valco Baby's popular Trend Duo and Slim Twin strollers, making it easy to see which one best fits your lifestyle. We believe no parent should ever have to sacrifice comfort for functionality with their stroller, and with the Trend Duo and Slim Twin from Valco Baby, you never will. The Trend Duo Vs. Slim Twin Side-by-Side Comparison Both the Trend Duo and Slim Twin strollers are designed to provide exceptional comfort for your little ones with unmatched versatility for you. However, there are differences that set each model apart. Use The first difference we'll discuss is each stroller's intended use. Where the Slim Twin features a more compact size that's ideal for cities and traveling, the Twin Duo is larger, with more additional features. Think of them like a sports car vs. a minivan; they're both luxurious and fun to ride in, but the Trend Duo offers more room than the smaller Slim Twin. What is the size difference? We'll discuss that further below. Size and Weight The Slim Twin is the perfect lightweight twin stroller, measuring only 26 inches wide and 24 lbs, making it perfect for tight spaces like city streets and airports. Although the Trend Duo is bigger, measuring 29 inches wide and 27 pounds, it's still small enough to fit through standard-sized doorways and lightweight enough to load easily in the car. Seating Of course, what would a twin stroller be without comfortable seating? Both the Trend Duo and the Slim Twin offer ample room for your children to sit comfortably. The Trend Duo boasts two full-sized seats that move independently, with one-handed multi-positioning that can recline nearly flat. Your kids will sit in comfort with an adjustable footrest featuring a built-in cocoon for added comfort and safety. Although the Slim Twin is more compact, it has a total capacity of 90 lbs, with each seat holding 45 lbs. Additionally, the full-sized seats have higher seat backs, making them a great choice for older kids. It also has adjustable footrests for all-day comfort on the go. Car Seat and Bassinet Compatibility One of the main differences between the Trend Duo and Slim Twin Stroller is the car seat compatibility. This feature is especially important if you're purchasing a double stroller for twins. The Trend Duo can hold two car seats or bassinets using the optional adapter, while the Slim Twin can comfortably fit one car seat and a toddler. Both are excellent options for families with multiple kids, but if you're looking to fit two infants in their car seats, the Trend Duo is for you. Canopy Stages As you know, a canopy is an essential part of any twin stroller since it protects your little one's sensitive skin from the sun. Each seat on the Twin Slim has a 2-stage canopy that fully extends forward for exceptional coverage. The Trend Duo, on the other hand, takes it a step further, with a 3-stage canopy on each seat for complete sun protection. The canopies on both strollers have magnetic peek-a-boo windows and industry-leading UPF 50 for unmatched peace of mind. Belly Bars Both the Slim Twin and Trend Duo have removable belly bars for added safety, but the Slim Twin only has one while the Trend Duo has two. They also feature 5-point harnesses with padded shoulder straps to keep kids safe and secure. Finding a lightweight double stroller like the Slim Twin that has a belly bar is challenging, which is another reason why so many parents love Valco Baby's innovative and thoughtful designs. Leatherette Handlebars When it comes to strollers, one feature not many people think about until they've used it is the handlebars. The Trend Duo is the standout in this area. The leatherette-covered handlebar boasts multi-positional settings, which make it comfortable for anyone to use. For example, a 6ft tall parent and a 5ft tall parent can quickly adjust the handlebars to their ideal height, offering greater control and versatility. The regular Slim Twin doesn't feature the adjustable leatherette handlebars, so if that's a feature that appeals to you, it's something to consider. Sports Editions One of the coolest features that both the Trend Duo and the Slim Feature offer is sports editions. Both sports models feature the incredible Infinity Wheels, which offer premium cushioning, extra suspension, and a puncture-proof ride for effortless off-road adventures. The Trend Duo Sports Edition comes in two exclusive colors: Cloud and Ash Black, while the Slim Twin Sports Edition features the exclusive leatherette handlebar covering. Trend Duo Vs. While the Slim Twin’s more compact design makes it perfect for use in cities and traveling, the Trend Duo has more features and accessories. Each twin stroller has a weight capacity of 90 lbs and folds easily with just a touch. If you’re looking for a lightweight double stroller that’s great for an infant and older child or two older children, the Slim Twin is a great option, while the Trend Duo’s dual car seat compatibility makes it a perfect double stroller for twins. Whichever twin stroller you choose, you can’t go wrong with Valco Baby!
